Factory manualTaken from a Mazda factory workshop manual, with page citation.
Procedure
Factory setup adjustment tolerance. Use the specified pinion-height fixture, average the left/right gauge readings, and account for the number inscribed on the drive-pinion end: subtract the inscribed number divided by 100; use zero if no number is inscribed. Select the matching spacer using the complete overhaul procedure. This is not the distance from the pinion to the ring gear.
Applies to
- NB 1999–2000 (BP-4W) — Actual 1999 factory evidence; other years in the approved family inferred with owner approval.
