About & sources
Miata Torque DB is a free, open database of torque specifications for NA (1990–1997) and NB (1999–2005) Mazda MX-5 Miatas. Most torque lists online are copies of the same old list with no sources and a few unit mistakes. Every value here says where it came from.
How values are chosen
- A factory service manual value always wins. Newer supplements override older manuals for the years they cover.
- Without a factory value, two or more independent sources must agree.
- Anything else is clearly labelled, and disagreements between sources are shown, not hidden.

Values the source printed are shown as-is. Converted values are marked with ≈. Small fasteners are shown in inch-pounds (with an in·lb badge) because mixing up in·lb and ft·lb is the most common torque mistake.
Source tiers
- Mazda factory workshop manuals, supplements and service bulletins
- Independent manuals: Mitchell1, Haynes, Chilton, Veloce
