Procedure
- Sequence
- Hold the OCV-filter frame and align it with the projection at the oil-pipe flange end. Apply engine oil to a new washer. Temporarily install and position the upper and side oil pipes. Tighten repeatedly in the initial illustrated order 1–8 (2003 p.597, 2004 p.629, 2005 p.679 first figure). No separate torque is specified in this initial instruction; do not assign final values to it. Tighten portion A repeatedly to 7.8–10.8 N·m {80–110 kgf·cm, 70–95 in·lbf}. This is the central upper-pipe support bolt, initial No.5, omitted from the final seven-position figure. Temporarily tighten portion B to 2.9–6.9 N·m, using the printed N·m because the secondary units are inconsistent. Temporarily tighten portion C to 11.8–17.6 N·m {1.2–1.8 kgf·m, 8.7–13 ft·lbf}. Tighten repeatedly in final illustrated order 1–7: Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4 and 7 are retaining bolts at 7.8–10.8 N·m; No. 5 is the portion-B union at 15.7–23.5 N·m; No. 6 is the portion-C union at 34.4–47 N·m. The initial No. 5 support bolt is already tightened at A and is absent from this final figure.
Portion A is initial figure No.5. Tighten repeatedly at this phase, before temporarily tightening portions B and C. It is omitted from the final seven-position figure.
