Procedure

Measure each gear with a feeler gauge and dial gauge at the factory positions. Inspection ranges; replace malfunctioning parts if outside specification. No fifth-gear thrust clearance is specified. Normally aspirated NB2 6MT only; actual 2003 evidence, other 2001–2005 years inferred.

Applies to
  • NB 2001–2005 (BP-Z3, 6MT) — 2003 factory component-manual evidence; other years inferred within the 2001–2005 normally aspirated NB2 family. Does not infer MSM.
