Fuel pump maximum pressure — blocked-outlet test (NA6)

441–589 kPa (4.5–6.0 kg/cm², 64–85 psi)

Factory manualTaken from a Mazda factory workshop manual, with page citation.
Procedure

Fuel pump output specification, not fuel-rail regulated pressure. Follow the factory pump test and fuel-pressure relief procedure. Release fuel pressure first (F–101), battery disconnected while gauge fitted directly to main pipe, gauge outlet plugged. Reconnect battery; jumperF/P–GND; ignitionON operatespump; measure; ignitionOFF and removejumper afterward. F–108 prints 4.6 kg/cm² while F–9 prints 4.5 at the same 441 kPa endpoint; metric kPa controls. This is not an engine-running rail-pressure target.
