Factory manualTaken from a Mazda factory workshop manual, with page citation.
Procedure

Factory unloaded condition: fuel tank full, coolant and oil at specified levels, spare tire, jack and tools in designated positions. Use the factory measuring procedure; height is wheel center to fender brim, not ground clearance. Select target using the measured rear ride height. Left-to-right angle difference must not exceed 1°30′. Factory procedure says adjust to the median. Ride-height left/right difference must not exceed 10 mm {0.39 in}, PDF 317. Technical table footnotes (PDF p. 340) confirm the unloaded condition and a 1°30′ maximum cross-side camber/caster difference.

Applies to
  • NB 1999–2000 (BP-4W) — Other years inferred from 1999 factory evidence.
  • Verified in: 1999 Mazda MX-5 Miata Workshop Manual
